Hello!! My name is Jubran Al Balushi and I’m from Oman. I am currently studying medicine in Ireland and I decided to apply to join Tandem in Pikpa for the special needs support program because I felt that it would teach me crucial skills that I would benefit from greatly in the future. When I first arrived I was warmly welcomed by the staff which throughout the whole experience were extremely helpful and ensured I was always comfortable. They were  also very welcoming out of working hours. It was like joining a little family and they taught me so much in only two weeks 

I believe the experience greatly exceeded my expectations because I feel like I gained skills that could only be learned in the moment. The children were exceptional. In their own ways they were all extremely welcoming and so excited to do all the different activities the coordinators organize. I believe the children helped and taught me far more than I could ever help them. I am extremely thankful for being able to take part and I hope I can return soon :))
